The Carpenter will be responsible for working on construction sites, commercial or residential buildings, where they will assemble and install wooden foundations, frames and other structural elements. The Carpenter will also be responsible for skillfully crafting, installing, and repairing wooden structures and components in accordance with project specifications.
Role and Responsibilities
- Study and interpret projects blueprints to understand the specifications and requirements
- Select appropriate materials for each project and cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material as according to specifications
- Build and install structures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and furniture, according to project requirements
- Assemble and fasten materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking
- Inspect and repair existing structures as needed by performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of finished products by inspecting completed work to meet the established standards and specifications
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to use a variety of tools, both hand tools and power tools.

Education and Experience:
- Certification III or above in Carpentry or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects at commercial and residential sites.
- Additional training/certifications in safety procedures.
