Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with vehicles and machinery.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other components.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, providing effective and lasting solutions.
- Identify and replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring the use of high-quality replacement components.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and materials.
- Ensure the quality and safety of all repairs and maintenance work.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive reports to management.
- Keep detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicle including testing, diagnosis, HVAC service, hydraulic, brakes, testing and repair of electronic systems and modules
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to explain technical information to customers in an understandable manner
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and advancements in automotive mechanics.
Education and Experience:
- Certificate III in Light/Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Light/Heavy vehicle mechanic
