Driver

The Driver will be responsible for the safely transport of goods, passengers, or materials to designated locations. The ideal candidate should have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, or trucks
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times.
  • Ensure the safe and secure handling of all transported items.
  • Utilize navigation tools and maps to determine the best routes.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure.
  • Provide excellent customer service, especially when transporting passengers.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, or passengers as needed.
  • Report any delays, accidents, or other incidents promptly.
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during the trip.
  • Complete required paperwork, such as logbooks or delivery receipts.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent driving skills and the ability to navigate unknown routes fluently
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
  • Compliance with any additional licensing or certification requirements for specific driving roles (e.g., commercial driver’s license).
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as loading and unloading goods.
  • Punctuality and reliability in adhering to schedules and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle unexpected situations, such as traffic delays or vehicle malfunctions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and under pressure.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 
  • Ability to operate a range of vehicles, from small delivery vans to large trucks would be advantageous. 
  • Proven experience as a commercial driver.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
