Concreter

The Concreter will be responsible for creating durable and concrete structures, such as foundations, driveways, and sidewalks. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in concrete work, including the ability to prepare, pour, finish, and cure concrete for various construction projects.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set concrete forms according to project specifications.
  • Pour and finish concrete using various tools, including trowels, floats, and screeds.
  • Install and secure reinforcement materials such as rebar or mesh to enhance concrete strength.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Mix concrete materials following established formulas and guidelines.
  • Adjust the consistency and composition of concrete as needed.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient in concrete pouring, finishing, and curing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of different types of concrete mixes and applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Concreter or similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or Certification in concrete work would be an advantage.
